Truly an adventure

Hello, world!! I'd like to spend my first blog as a way to inject a few of my views on marriage, and the idea behind the title of the blog.

Marriage, so far, has been everything opposite of what people said it was going to be. It's been better. Way better. Throughout my life, I had always heard that people who were in love got married, and then everything changed for the worse. Mostly, to the point where there was regret. Constant fighting, lies, hiding stuff, lack of communication, etc. The term "ball and chain" had freaked me out. Divorce rate is so stinkin' high that it's scary. But marriage has been great! (I know, you're probably thinking, just wait, you haven't been married very long...) But I don't think that will happen. I really don't. And there are a few reasons for that.
Reason 1: I'm literally married to the person God put into my life.
Reason 2: That person also happens to be my best friend. Cool, right? I know.
Reason 3: Life is an adventure. So is marriage. If you look at it like that, laugh a whole bunch, and have fun, it's a great time.
Reason 4: I have a different attitude when it comes to being a wife. I like being dependent. I'll say it again. I like being dependent. I rely on my husband to take care of me. I support him and all that he does. He takes care of me. I take care of him too, but differently. I want him to be the sole provider. I've been called old fashioned, but I honestly love the way our marriage works.

Blog title: Like I said above, my husband Mike and I look at our life together as a series of little adventures creating one huge adventure. It makes waking up in the morning something to look forward to. What adventure are we going on next?!?! It's pretty cool.
