After Mike got done with work last night, we headed downtown (on foot of course) and went to one of our favorite stores there, Book World. We're nerds. We love to read, and read together so we're always looking for books. :) Snowbound Books is our preference, but Book World is open late. Anyway, we went there in search for magazines that I'd like to write for. I know, exciting right?! It's for a project in one of my courses. So, we spent a billion years in there looking for a local-ish magazine that I'd have a shot at writing in...maybe. I found "Midwest Living" and another magazine that I've already forgotten the name of.
Then we stopped into Donkers....mmmmmmm candy! Mike bought some delicious, mouthwatering stuff and we spent the next 15 minutes in the cold trying to figure out if we wanted to eat downtown or go home for food. We decided on our favorite place to eat when we have a little extra cash in our pockets and decided on The Landmark Inn. Unfortunately, the awesome sky bar was packed full, but we found a table down at the pub.(The Landmark has two restaurants and a sky bar.) It was nice to sit down, take a break from the semester, and have a date with my favorite person. :)
The comic relief added to our class was the table of obviously tipsy professors within earshot.
